Requirements + Responsibilities:
Dental Assistant Requirements
? Must possess the following: an active dental assistant certificate, a radiology certificate, or an active state issued license number.
? Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
? Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
? Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practices
? 1-year or more experience preferred
? Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
? Strong attention to detail
? Must be well-organized and reliable
Responsibilities
? Welcome patients to the dental office
? Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
? Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
? Sterilize instruments according to regulations
? Assist the dentist during treatment appointments
? Execute lab tasks as instructed
? Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
? Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
? Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
? When necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies
? Making sure medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recorded
? Maintain dental equipment inventory and order dental supplies
Practice Management Software: Curve- We will include a robust training upon onboarding.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 per week
