Austin Family Dentist (private, not corporate) is looking for a full time (or possibly part time) associate dentist for our office, located in north central Austin. We are an established general dentistry office that has been open for 16 years. We are a predominately PPO (with some FFS), but no DMOs or Medicaid. Our PPO fees have been negotiated very well.
We have high-end equipment and all digital practice management and patient engagement software. We have 8 operatories, with three hygienists full time. I pride myself on NOT having a revolving door of employment with associates or staff. (previous 2 associates both stayed 4 years and only left b/c of wanting to relocate to another state and the other to purchase his own office).
We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate dentist who takes pride in their work.
Qualifications:
DDS/DMD from an accredited University and a valid Texas license (or in the process of obtaining it)
Preferably GPR/AEGD graduate with minimum of 2 year’s experience.
***IF NO GPR/AEDG, minimum is 4 years experience.

This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including children, and requires proficiency in various dental procedures. The Associate Dentist will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, and preventive care.
- Provide pediatric dentistry services with a focus on creating a positive experience for young patients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to optimize patient care and office efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and patient assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families effectively.
- Familiarity with dental office operations and electronic health record systems is advantageous.
