3-years' experience and Diode laser certification preferred but not necessary.

Job Description

Dental Hygienists are professionals who work under the supervision of a dentist to provide preventive and therapeutic oral health care services to patients. Dental Hygienists help promote good oral health and treat patients. Ideally, you will be able to build trust with patients of all ages. Health and safety rules should be deeply understood by you, as well as a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.

Days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & 2 Saturdays a month.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Our office is fully digital, and we utilize Open Dental and Dexis software for patient charting and radiographs. Knowledge of these is helpful, but we are willing to train if unfamiliar.
  • We have extra Lab staff to help with instruments, Perio chart, and much more when needed.
  • We understand the importance of having enough time to provide quality patient care, so we allow for 1-hour adult prophy's and 2 hours for new patient adult appointments.
  • Cleaning teeth: Use a variety of tools to remove plaque, tartar, and stains, such as scalers, toothbrushes, and water/air syringes.
  • Dental equipment preparation and maintenance experience
  • Examines oral cavity for mouth lesions, sores, recessed gums, and bleeding gums as well as evaluating overall oral health.
  • Maintain records of patients' dental histories, including oral health status, treatments received, and relevant medical histories.
  • Maintains oral hygiene according to the treatment plan prescribed by the attending dentist. It may include prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, x-rays, fluoride treatments, and full mouth debridement.
  • Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and instruments.
  • Educates patients on oral hygiene, diet, and fluoride use.
  • We offer holiday pay and PTO.

Maintains strong working relationships with doctor, dental assistant, office manager, receptionist, and other hygienists by mentoring them and providing training.
