Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records using dental software, including Eaglesoft, ensuring all information is up to date.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing billing inquiries when necessary.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and endodontics is preferred.
- Experience using 3D scanners for dental imaging is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
