Job Summary
We are a small, patient-focused private dental practice looking for a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. At our practice, you’re not just another employee — you’re part of a family. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves working closely with patients to educate them on oral health, performing preventive dental procedures, and assisting in the overall operation of the dental clinic. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take X-rays and perform oral health assessments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide detailed notes.
- Utilize Eaglesoft for managing patient records and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning process by providing input from clinical observations.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experience during their visit.
- Work directly with the dentist to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and hygiene practices.
- Experience with dental coding and familiarity with dental office systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Proficiency in managing medical records accurately and efficiently.
