Position Overview
The Dental Practice Manager is responsible for the overall management of the practice, ensuring operational efficiency, financial health, compliance, and an excellent patient experience. This role requires a proactive leader who can handle administrative duties, staff management, and financial oversight while maintaining a positive and professional work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
- Develop and implement office policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and manage VOIP phone systems to maintain seamless communication.
Financial & Insurance Management
- Oversee billing, insurance claims, collections, and financial reporting.
- Monitor accounts receivable/payable and manage the practice budget.
- Analyze financial performance using Dental Intel and other analytic tools.
- Implement cost-effective strategies based on practice performance data.
- Reviews fee structures for products and services and recommended changes to achieve financial success.
Staff Leadership & HR
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members.
- Manage staff schedules, performance evaluations, salary reviews and professional development.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that supports employee engagement.
- Handle HR matters, including conflict resolution and policy enforcement.
Patient Experience & Marketing
- Ensure a smooth, welcoming, and professional patient experience.
- Handle patient concerns, feedback, and escalated issues.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote practice growth and to enhance patient engagement and retention.
- Oversee scheduling, ensuring optimal efficiency and patient flow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of dental or healthcare management experience.
- Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (or equivalent experience in dental practice management).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of federal and state labor law regulations
- Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Proficiency in Dentrix practice management software.
- Experience with Dental Intel or similar analytic and patient communication tools.
- Knowledge of VOIP phone systems and their management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar Google applications.
- Understanding of dental insurance and billing processes.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
